Women are incredible.
I went to "Take Back the Night" this evening. Women and men marching together, and calling for changes to how women are treated and regarded in society. After the march, there were stories of strength and courage from women who had endured the most terrible things. Women from Edmonton spoke stories of hope and courage-courage enough to seek help from outside agencies, and to get out of the situations they were in. There were stories of hope that came from halfway across the world. Hope that one day women would be able to march in solidarity there in remembrance of those who were tortured because of how it used to be.
This is out to all the fantastic women out there, who struggle daily against the colonial import of a patriarchal system.
The sisterhood is still strong and well, so long as we are too.
